The refrigerator does not cool consistently. Customer stated they’ve been having power surges. The refrigerator seems to cool and work for a couple hours then shuts off, will get to 65 in the refrigerator, then will starts working again. Food spoils. Customer unplugged unit for a while and plugged back in. Damper is open can feel air flow, fan is working. Tested thermistor 11.15 k ohms, How do we test the control board, and what should the thermistor be testing at?

Hi. Sounds like a possible control issue. Hard to diagnose this though. Would have to catch it in a failed state, when it’s not cooling to see whats not running properly. Power in and power out is the best way to diagnose a control. If you have proper power going in and not the proper voltage coming out then bad control . The power surges that happened very likely damaged the control. I have attached the service manual for you. You might be able to run through the diagnostics to get a better idea of whats going on.
