I have a Whirlpool washer from the early 80’s. My timer is not advancing. I want to know how to repair the original timer since Whirlpool does not make the part any more.

Or I wonder if there is a universal timer switch that will have the same power connections and mounting brackets? Either way let me know, we have been tapping on the dial for years now to get the dial to move to the next cycle.

Hi Ryan. That model number is not a good model number. I did find a model number just one digit off. LFA5700w1. The p# for this timer on this model is 660756. This part is no longer available since 2006 and I do not see any substitute or universal part to replace this. I’m not sure of any company that would be able to repair this for you either. You may try ebay or amazon for this part.
