GD5RVAXVY01 Dispenser chute is freezing up. I’ve looked at the door and it is closing, just not sure how thick the form should be? Not seeing anything wrong by just looking. Looking for suggestions.

Hello
There are no service bulletins on the ice chute assembly. It must not be retracting and sealing properly . I have provided the service manual. Matt Ace technician

You must not have read my text
  • I did read the question that you have posted. ( I’ve looked at the door and it is closing, just not sure how thick the form should be? ) I do not understand what ( Form ) you are talking about ? Did you mean ( Foam ) ? This is the part number of what you need to replace to correct your issue # W10823377 .

I replaced the Ice door kit #W10823377, and it is still doing the same thing. What now?
  • In general I see these models that have the ice bucket on the door to have frost in and around the chute and bottom of the ice bucket for no real reason. Not a ton of frost but I always find some. Shine a light down the ice chute to see if you get any light coming out from the chute door. If you have light then warm air is still getting in and causing frost. Make sure you door seal is sealing. Make sure cubes are not getting stuck in the ice chute and proping the door open. Make sure the cubes are not melting or clumping together possibly causing water to run down. This would look like ice rather than frost.

If I find the ice melting and clumping together, what should I look for then?
