I live in Brazil, my gas dryer is labeled as Brastemp but it is a Whirlpool Gas Dryer (just like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b08iUTzpncc). It stopped working and thanks to your videos i discovered that the electric motor was burned. After changing it the dryer started to work again but now it is overheating. Do you think can be the cycling thermostat (CT)?
I checked the CT for continuity at room temperature, it is ok, has continuity, but i do not have a way to heat the CT to test if it will open after the temperature limit.

Brunobb, in most cases on an overheating problem can be caused by
1) A plugged dryer vent
2) A cycling thermostat
3) A shorted electric heater to ground
