Hi Sean, Your video, referenced above, worked perfectly with my machine. All of the diagnostics presented no problems, however, I felt that my machine took longer to drain than yours did in the video; but that’s the problem with my machine: my clothes won’t spin out on most cycles. I usually have to run my laundry through 2-3 “Drain & Spin” cycles before the clothes are spun out sufficiently enough to put in the dryer. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Terri

Your welcome! These black shavings from the belt usually indicate that the pulley nut has came loose. This causes the the pulley and belt to drop down and rub against the plastic motor shield. It will create a grinding noise and can cause error codes to occur or the basket to not spin fast enough. This is a common problem I see with theses washers. You will want to take the shield and nut off and inspect the belt and cam for damage. Replace any damaged parts. When you re install the pulley nut apply some thread sealant so the nut will not come lose again. I have attached a video for this repair and links to the belt and cam if needed.

Hi Brian,
Thanks for your help. No stored error codes resulted, and my husband spent all afternoon trying to get the washer tub out of the unit (does it always have water in it?). He found nothing clogging the drain, but the belt looked quite worn down and there was black “stuff” which spewed from the belt all around that area. Can send you a video/picture of what he found if it would help.
Thanks,
Terri

Have you checked for stored error codes in the diagnostic mode? Enter the diagnostic mode just like the video. Then turn the selector knob until just the done light is lit. All the L.E.D.S will flash. Turn the selector knob one click and this is your first error code. It sounds like you may have something partially clogging the drain pump. I have attached a video that shows how to remove the drain pump. Let me know if you need any further help.
