The washer will sense, wash, rinse and drain. It either does not spin or does not spin enough to wring out clothes. It will unlock on Spin mode and Done light does not go on. Lock light blinks with clothes in it after draining and trying to spin. A appliance repair man said it needs a new computer board. Is this accurate? Could it be a different part that is needed?
Repair guy reset the washer by unplugging and replugging in, checked balance, rods, blew out air hose, checked crank arm, watched it fill up, agitate, drain, spin well without clothes. While testing with clothes it went through cycle and was not able to spin or spin enough to wring out clothes.

Yes, the control board will reset when unplugged for 60 seconds or more. It could be your control board. You will need to be run the unit through the diagnostic mode to be sure in the technician sheet link below. If a fault code (F1E1) OR (F1E20 comes up you have a bad board. If not see the other error codes on page #6.
