General question: It seems like half the time there is no service manual or tech sheet behind the kick panel or in with the circuit boards, or anywhere to be found. Can you tell me where is the best place to quickly access service manuals online for cheap or free?

I have found some free places, but they only have a limited number of manuals, or they require that I know the GE model number to cross reference to the Whirlpool model number (for example). I want to be able to quickly find the service manual for any appliance so I can know how to get it into service mode and what the expected resistance measurements are for components, etc.

Hello
If you add your model number in our search Repair Help section we have over 6,000 service manuals free for all of the major manufactures including GE, Samsung, LG and many more. Here is the link https://www.appliancevideo.com/repair-help/

The PSA website, USA Website and Appliance Samari are also good resources but they are membership based. There are not many free resources out there currently. Hope this helps Matt Ace technician

I tried 3 different Whirlpool part numbers and a GE part number, but all it brings up is questions and answers under the repair help search at the link above…no manuals. Are you sure the repair-help link is the right place? Tom

I mean “model number,” not “part number.”
  • Hello Each question is attached to A model number. If A question comes up in the search that means your model number was attached to that question. You then have to look at the answer to find the service manual. You can also do A video search by model at this link https://www.appliancevideo.com/video-by-model-number/ .
