Selected light load, cold wash/cold rinse. Cycle stopped after rinse. Machine went to OFF. Restarted manually at last rinse/spin cycle to get water out; noticed water in washer was very warm. Door locked properly, machine agitated, rinse began but then did not turn off. Shut machine off, water continued to come in from hot water only. Unplugging machine worked; water stopped coming in.
I have searched videos and see that I can check water valve, solenoid, for blockage in pressure tube. Not sure what is causing hot water to come in instead of cold. Checked diagnostic sheet and can’t determine what to do from that. Before I invest time in replacing or checking the water inlet valve, solenoid, and blockage, I’d like to know what might be involved in the hot instead of cold problem.
Please advise. Debating whether this is something I can fix or whether it’s time to buy a new machine. I already replaced the wax motor and a bad resistor on the board.
Thank you!!

I have attached a service bulletin on mid cycle turning off of your exact model and also the complete Maytag service manual for your exact model. The service manual is detailed in step by step procedure to determine cause of your issue.

The Service Manual link only gives 1 page 2004 Service Technical Bulletin again. Please reattach full service manual.

OK; got it now. Perhaps I tried to download it before it was fully attached or scanned in. Thanks!
