I have this gass stove , kitchenAid Model # KGRI801PBS00.
Costumer complaint: make short circuit , tripeed braker (or blow out braker) at braker box , then He restore power and blower motor kept running all the time ( non stop).
I take off the touch panel with the control box behind the touch panel and restore power blower fan motor kept running , so, I hit with my screw driver the relay board , the one is located behind the surface and get the motor stop .
But when , I put back the touch pad with the control is at back the touch panel and press the bake , the braker at braker box when off again (braker tripped).
another interesting question that I have is: I take away the cables going to the motor and check those cables for ground it was grounded , when the plug is inserted in the wall outlet, but if , I take away the plug from the wall outlet , now is not grounded is that ok?.
Now I , think I have problems with one of the board ,but I don’t know , which control board or even if the touch panel .
How I will determine or probe each one of this control or touch panel. thank for your help, wating for your answer, my email address is : armandoappliances@gmail.com , or also I have this other one : armgua@gmail.com. armgua, thank you for being a fan of our website. We have 40-50 new videos every month coming out. After evaluating your systems you definitely have a dead short to ground. I would start by unpluging the harness to the control board and put electrical tape on the harness for safety purposes. Then plug in the unit to see if it trips the breaker. You can do this for the board and touch pad to determine which control is shorted. Let us know how it works out. Matt Ace technician
