When the ice maker calls for water it comes out into the Icemaker and out the water dispenser on the floor. But when you push the water paddle you get nothing. I have never had a box act like this. Water valve ohms out o.k.

Also look at the diode , its integrated into the wire harness that goes to that water inlet valve.
