I have water to the filter. Where do I go from here?
Does this Kenmore / LG fridge have a holding tank? And where is it? I have walked my customer thru a few troubleshooting issues, to eliminate the obvious.
We have determined that the flow of water stops at the filter. Or water gets to the filter, then after that, who knows. I replaced the valve about 6 weeks ago. Now the water dispenser just stopped working.
I am going over to his house tomorrow AM, and I am asking you guys for advice on what to look for. I tried searching online to see where the holding tank is, but no luck. I’ll do the typical inspection of the lines, look to see if the line is frozen at the dispenser, etc.
But primarily 2 questions.
1. Is there a holding tank, and how can I get to it?
2. Is it possible that the dispenser on / off contact is broken? If so, how can I test it?
As always thank you
Eliminating the obvious superficial things, plus filter change and valve change.

Hi.There is a water resivior. It is located in the door section of the parts break down. P# 4838JA2002B. It could be froze up. It looks like this unit uses a micro switch that the water paddle hits against when pressed. The paddle may not be hitting the switch or the switch could be bad. When you press the button, see if you hear the hum of the water valve being energized. Hope fully you will be able to look up into the dispenser with out taking it apart to see what is happening.
