Unit was not making Ice. Ice maker was replaced with ice maker WPW10300024. Now making ice at the rate of 2 harvest in a 16 hour period(i had the customer count the cubes, 14 cubes in 16 hour period). They are also complaining that the cubes are small but i believe i can correct that with the adjustment screw on the ice maker. My question to you is: Is it making ice at the correct rate? Should it have harvested 3 times last night? Any service bulletins on slow ice production, if this rate could be considered slow? A tech sheet on the fridge and ice maker would be great also.

Hello
The average harvest cycle should be every 90 minutes. So yes, two harvest cycles in 16 hours is definitely an issue. You should not have to adjust the water pressure at the ice maker adjustment screw. When the ice maker completes its cycle you should have 1/2 inch of water across the bottom of the ice maker tray. If you do not have 1/2 in across the tray you have a restricted water pressure issue. Start from the saddle valve and work forward until you find the restriction. You also need to be sure you have proper temperatures in the ice maker compartment. The ice maker will not cycle unless you have +14 degrees. The ice maker has an internal thermostat that will prevent the harvest cycle unless it is +14 degrees or colder. We have seen sealed system warm temperatures cause low ice production. Also look at the service bulletin links below n the door closure hinge kits. Make sure both freezer and refrigerator doors are securely closed without anything blocking them, that will cause warm temperatures and low ice production. Matt Ace technician
