Had a whirlpool dryer , ( LINT FILTER ON TOP ) last week, customer complained very noisy and walks on floor.
Found blower wheel shattered, about 10 pieces up to 2 feet into vent tube.
Order part, ( more expensive wheel) return to home and pull drum to lock shaft tand remove and install new blower.
The motor has a 2nd idler shaft next left of the main shaft and a pulley system between them
which looked like it increased the blower wheel rpm. My guess, over 3000 rpm
They also decreased the lint filter chute port to about 1/2 of original size.
Outlet airflow pressure seemed higher velocity, probably designed for lower volume, higher pressure or something..
Changed the blower and found dryer had originally run long enough to also overheat the
element making it sag and short to frame. This caused temp to rise and kick off the
small thermal fuse ( 3392519 ).
Dryer is much noisier design then the original version and I was wondering if this is
a test version or have they switched designs. Any input is greatly appreciated

My recommendation is to also replace the bias operating thermostat next to the thermal fuse. (4-wires)
