Unit will only start in diagnostic mode. When I first start diagnostic mode, all lights are green. The unit Will get a few minutes in to diagnostic mode and dies, no lights and the unit will not respond. It will only respond trying to run diagnostic mode, always get the same result, it dies and is unresponsive.
I checked to see if the chopper blade was jammed, it was not. I replaced the control board, that did not fix the issue.
Any ideas. Could it be the thermal fuse? Would diagnostic mode still try and work if the thermal fuse is bad?
I tried working through the service manual attached to the inside of the kickplate but there wasn’t anything in the troubleshooting that referenced what to look for when the unit died during the diagnostic mode.
I assume that once the unit got to somewhere in diagnostic mode that wasn’t working properly it shut down…
Any ideas or feedback would be appreciated.

Hi Rusty. It does not seem like a bad thermal fuse. If the thermal fuse was bad it would prevent the unit from running, even in diagnostic mode. The first thing I would do is check your incoming voltage and connections. You may have a short somewhere. At what point in the diagnostic mode does the unit shut down? Is it the same spot every time? Possibly when the wash motor tries to come on? Are you able to get any error codes? Test these things and let me know what you find out.
