The washer shakes pretty violently at the beginning of the spin cycle with clothes in it. Neither sock is broken, none of the block counter balancing pieces are broke or missing, and the springs look good. If you hold the outer tub assembly it will get up to full speed, but vibrates pretty bad. Any ideas? Is there a balanced ring on this unit like some Samsung washers have?
Looked at shocks, counter balancers, and springs. The washer is level and the floor also feels sturdy.

Is it possible the shipping bolts are still installed? IF not the shocks could be worn out and need to be replaced. There are a lot of vibration complaints with this washer. It could even be possible that the back of the inner basket is damaged, but this usually causes noise and vibration in high speed spin.

Is the tub loose? open the door and lift the tub up to see if it has play in it. Is it from off balance loads? Does this happen with all loads of clothing?

The tub is not loose and the only time it will not do it is when there is nothing in it at all.
