Timer on dishwasher stops when the dial pointer is at 180 degrees.
Manually move it past that point and the cycle will continue until finished. I installed a new timer but the DW is acting the same way.
Any suggestions on what I should do nest will be appreciated. Thank you.

Sounds like an older dishwasher, check the sisterliness chart for contacts that open at that point.
It may be a hi-temp wash or rinse and require the water temperature to close a thermostat in line with the timer motor to advance past that spot.
May also be a bad heat element.
