I have a a 48″ Jenn-air range ; customer complain that main oven flame was sputtering and shut off. They started smelling gas he called gas company they came out and said he had a gas leak. I went out and order a regulator. Replaced regulator unit still does the same thing all other burners are Ok could it be the safety valve?

Checked the gas pressure before the regulator? Your regulator will not work correctly if it has too much pressure. Also what was the amperage from the ignitor when it is on ? Most common it is the ignitor.
