I checked the ohms on this temp probe and it read 1080. I was told that it should read at least 1100 at room temperature.
Is the probe ” bad ” at a 1080 reading “
Would it cause a delay in raising the oven temperature to 350 at set temperature? A delay of 30 minutes and the oven never reached its set temperature. Plus, when the temperature rose to about 310* it began to drop gradually to 295*
I replaced the heating element. It was burnt through to the outer shell. After replacing it, I set the preheat temperature at 350* and 30 minutes later it only rose to about 310*. And then it started to drop in temperature.
Would a bad temperature probe cause this kind of problem?

Hi. THe temperature probe is good. It should read about 1100 ohms at room temp. give or take. 1080 is right where it should be reading. The temperature probe is not the faulty part. Sounds like a faulty control board.
