Hello!
Thanks to your video, I was able to diagnose the cause of my leaking bottom drawer freezer, order the right part, and replace the sticky (disgusting!) duck bill grommet with the P-trap. When I was finished I tapped out the almost two inch thick glacier that had formed on the bottom of my freezer and thought we were good to go – but when I checked the freezer the other day there was ice on the bottom again!!
I gather this means that somewhere between the bottom of the fridge and the entry to the P trap there must be an ice dam. What is the best and/or easiest way to melt that out? I don’t have access to any of the fancy tools but I do have a hair dryer and screwdrivers and lots of spunk so hoping those will do the trick.
Thank you so much for your free videos, they are the best. I never would have felt empowered to fix this thing all on my own without your help.
Kindly,
Katie

Katie, Here is what I suggest. You most likely still have ice in the drain assembly. If you want to rectify this issue permanently, I suggest you take your food out overnight and put a fan in the freezer to completely defrost all ice from the drain. Then pour hot water down the freezer drain to make sure its completely open.
