The customer took the doors off to get it inside and didn’t secure the freezer door magnetic switch or door switch. But I need some technical information. The frost pattern is OK. I do see some frost in the middle 2 freezer vents. I can’t tell if the damper is working . How do I check the damper and other components?

Hi. I have attached the tech sheet for you. This will show you how to run test modes for fans, compressor, etc. You can also check for any stored error codes. With frost build up you could have a defrost issue. I have seen this model frost/ ice up behind the evap cover and cause this same issue. I did not find anything that caused it. I did replace the defrost sensor and haven’t heard back on it.I would highly recommend replacing the defrost sensor. It is recommended any time it gets covered in ice. Has the door switch been disengaged for awhile? The door switches need to be depressed in order for the evap fan motor to run on most samsung units. This could cause the frost build up and the not cooling so well issue. Also, check to make sure the drain tube is not clogged. If the drain is clogged you will have water or ice on the freezer floor. This can cause the frost build up and result in the no cool. I have attached some Samsung repair videos for you as well.
