RIGHT FRONT BURNER NOT WORKING; BURNER IS DISCONTINUED BUT IF YOU ORDER SWITCH IT COMES WITH BURNER AND WIRING HARNESS. PART # W10823734. THIS IS NOT THE USUAL INFINITE SWITCH LIKE THE REST OF THE BURNERS. IT LOOKS LIKE THE ONE IN THE KIT BUT EPIC SENSOR NOT HOOKING UP. AM I DOING SOMETHING WRONG.
RIGHT FRONT BURNER NOT WORKING; BURNER IS DISCONTINUED BUT IF YOU ORDER SWITCH IT COMES WITH BURNER AND WIRING HARNESS. PART # W10823734. ORDERED FROM MARCONES. REMOVED AND DISASSEMBLED COOK-TOP, WHEN YOU CHANGE SWITCH AND BURNER AND WIRING HARNESS, THERE IS NO PLACE TO HOOK UP EPIC SENSOR( IT WAS PLUGGED INTO THE OLD SWITCH ). NOTHING IN HARNESS TO ATTACH SENSOR. LOOKED AT MARCONES PICTURE OF PART TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WAS IN KIT, OKAY. CALLED MARCONES; THAT IS THE ONLY PART FOR THIS UNIT, CALL WHIRLPOOL. WHIRLPOOL WOULD NOT LET ME TO TALK TO TECH LINE BECAUSE I DON’T HAVE AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM. WPL CUST. SERVICE CONNECTED ME TO PARTS DEPARTMENT, PARTS DEPARTMENT COULD NOT HELP, EXCEPT TO SAY THAT IT IS THE RIGHT PART FOR THIS UNIT.
I BELIEVE THAT THIS PART KIT MAY WORK ON MANY JENN-AIR COOK-TOPS BUT NOT THIS SERIES (12). ALSO PER PART INSTRUCTIONS; HOT LIGHT SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM OLD BURNER AND INSTALLED ON NEW BURNER, BUT HOT LIGHT ON THIS UNIT IS IN CONTROL PANEL

I have never done this conversion/ repair. I found the instructions for the kit. I attached them They talk about the sensor and hot light. Not sure if yours came with instructions or not. I see you talked about some instructions you have. Marcone’s picture did not show the instructions. The original part shows a series of 10 and you have a 12 series unit which would work, but there is no information on what series the kit works for, so maybe you are right when you said the kit may not work on the 12 series. I will check with our other guys to see if anyone has ran into this. Too bad you were not able to talk with WPL tech line. They might be your best bet on finding out.

The kit came with instructions but they mention sensor or reinstalling old sensor. Either sensor has no place to hook them up, as old switch had the plug-in spot for the sensor but the new switch does not
-
also; there is no place on the new wiring harness to hook up the sensor either
