I’m curious as to what would be causing my gas oven to preheat and beep as if ready, but then not maintain it’s temperature after that?

Stephanie, this sounds like the ignitor that’s weakening or failing. I’ll add a diagnostic video below for you to be able to access it and check it. If you do want to replace this yourself I’ll also add the part you’ll need. Hope this helps!
