Ice maker not making ice, I replaced ice maker, ice maker fan and ice maker defrost limit, I can’t get the fan to run. the ice maker will fill with water but will not freeze. it will cycle but will not freeze so it dumps water. the ice evaporator is working not frosted up. I think it will work if the fan would run.

Hello
See the technical diagnostic guide link below. If you evaporator is not not frosted you may have a sealed system issue. The evaporator for the ice maker needs to have an even frost pattern across the complete coil. Matt Ace technician

The evaporator is frosted but no build up the evaporator is plenty cold.
  • Then I would run it through the system diagnostics mode. This will show any stored error codes and current error codes.

I ran diagnostics, it’s all working but no fan. no saved error code, could it be a bad control board? if so witch board runs the ice maker fan.
  • The ice maker should never cycle until the cubes are frozen. Maybe there is a temperature issue or it thinks it’s colder than what it is. In diagnostic mode you can check the readout of the temperature in the icebox. Could be a thermistor issue or a control board issue. This would be the main control board but you can verify that on the wiring schematic. The control board part number is 5304502778. Make sure you look up the correct main control board part number for your model. Your model did not pull up for me so I chose the closest one. The main control board is listed under cooling section of the parts breakdown. It is located on the bottom of the refrigerator near the front under the toe panel.
