Dryer runs but there is no heat. The man that came out said he checked all the fuses and they were ok and that it was the board. He took the board out and showed me a place that he said was darker where the capacitors were “burnt out”. However, when I look the problem up on the internet, I see the problem can be fixed with a fuse. The board costs $175. at Amazon and over $300 at Whirlpool. I think the fuse costs about $10-$15. What is the problem?

Sadly you will need to replace the board, replacing the fuse will not solve the issue, its likely not just a blown fuse but other capacitors and such on the board as well.
