The ball filter is number 454 in the attached diagram.

Hello, The ball you are talking about is a check valve so when it washes it is not draining at the same time. check the air gap to see if it is plugged up and if the ball has any damage. Sorry i could not find a good video on this part.

What air gap are you refering to The ball sounds like it’s banging around when washing what causes that I’m assuming it’s not normal

Also, make sure the drain hose is elevated and not clogged. You could be getting back feed from the disposal or sink, depending on where this drain hose hooks up to.
