GOOD MORNING. I FOUND THE DRAIN SOLINOID JAMMED UP WITH MELTED PLASTIC. I USED MY METER TO CHECK FOR 110V AT THE SOLIANOID , BUT DID NOT GET IT AT THE DRAIN CYCLE. ALSO, THE MOTOR WAS NOT GETTING 110V AT THE DRAIN CYCLE. I TRACED THE WIRES UP TO THE CONTROL TIMER AND ALL LOOKED IN GOOD CONDITION. I PULLED APART THE TIMER AND ALL THE CONTACTS LOOKED OK. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT. THANKS, TODD FROM NY.

Hello See service manual attached in the link below. If that piston gasket is warped or has calcium or deposits on it , water will leak past it during drain and you’ll get very little discharge from the drain hose. Remove the piston assembly and check it out. If it’s bad, you’ll know it when you see it. Part number: WD24X10018. Matt Ace technician

HI MATT. I SAW IN THE MANUAL THAT THE SOLINOID HAS TO GET DC NOT AC. I ONLY CHECKED FOR AC. THE SOLINOID LOOKS LIKE IT MELTED AND FROZE IN POSITION, THE CUSTOMER ALSO SAID THERE WAS A BURNING PLASTIC SMELL. I COULD NOT GET 110V TO THE MOTOR WHEN THE TIMER WAS IN THE CORRECT POSITION. DOES THERE HAVE TO BE AN OPERATING SOLINOID IN PLACE FOR THE 110V TO BE SENT TO THE MOTOR? YOUR THOUGHTS? THANKS, TODD FROM NY.

Todd From the wiring sequence it shows 115 volts coming from terminal #16 hot leg at the wiring harness to the main (PCB) control board neutral. So the answer is no the main PCB powers the motor and does not wire in series with the inlet valve.

HI MATT. I AM SORRY. WHEN I SAID SOLINOID I WAS REFEFING TO THE SOLINOID THAT CONTROLS THE DRAIN FLOW. ALSO, CAN YOU CONFIRM THAT THIS UNIT HAS A SEPERATE DRAIN PUMP? THANKS, TODD FROM NY.
