This is a General Refrigerator made by Samsung. It has the two boards on the left side on the back of the refrigerator. I believe this is a relay problem in one of the boards. How do I troubleshoot this unite?
Relay on the compressor is okay.

Hello
Is it not cooling in the refrigerator and freezer ? Is it partially cooling at all in either section ? Is the compressor running? Have you looked at the evaporator frost pattern ? Is the evaporator fan motor running ? When you say not cooling there are too many variables. You need to give us specifics otherwise we are just guessing . You have two boards in the unit 1) Power Supply Board ) Main control board. If you have lights on in the unit that is a good indication your power supply board is functioning properly. You will need to run the unit through diagnostics to verify the proper diagnoses.

Hi again, So if you have lights most likely the power board is okay. What is the second board call. I want to check to see if the second board is getting power than I want to check to see if power is going to the compressor. That should solve the diagnostic. I don’t think power is going power to the Compress. May have a stuck relay but I want to be sure before I invest in a new board. Thank you, I appreciate your effort. Jan

I just reread my post. I meant to say this is a General Electric refrigerator made by Samsung. So can you cross over and use the same Sungsun Parts? Also I would like you to answer the question about checking the power into the board and power out of the board. Greatly Appreciated , JAN

Look at the subject heading “not cooling”. I got a good idea what is wrong with the unit and I know how to run the diagnostics but I want to know more about those two computer boards in the rear of the unit. I think one is faulty. I am going back today so I was looking for additional troubleshooting information. Thank you, Jan
