I have a whirlpool side by side fridge that is making ice but will not dispense water thru the door. When I push the dispenser arm it sound like it is trying but no water comes thru.

See the service manual link below. Run the unit through the diagnostic mode on page #25 section 5-1. This will walk you through the complete diagnostic procedure from A-Z. I have also provided the technician sheet along with the wiring diagram and a complete parts list.
