The fridge was not cooling I had an appliance tech come and test it he told me the compressor was bad as was the PCB. I replaced the PCB and the compressor. The old compressor had the two posts on top and one on bottom. I ordered my new compressor from sears with the part number and the one they sent me is the same part number but the posts are opposite one on top two on bottom. When I connected everything the condensor fan kicks on but nothing from the compressor no clicking nothing. Is the difference in the compressor causing the problem?

Hi. You should be getting power to the compressor either way, with old or new compressor. Are you getting voltage to the compressor? The ports being at different locations on the compressor can cause an issue. You need to make sure you hooked up your refrigerant lines properly. They can get crossed. So as longs as you hooked the lines correctly. Suction line to the suction port of the compressor. Liquid line and process stub to the correct ports. Even if the lines are not right your compressor would get power. It may not start and it would not cool but voltage would be present.

Yes they lines are correct. I checked the voltage and the red wire gets 119 then drops to 82 and the black wire is at 80

Looks like this unit just has a relay and overload at the compressor. So you should be getting 120v to the relay. When are you getting the voltage drop to 80? Is this when the compressor tries to start ? Does it seem to even try to start? Does it hum or click?

no there is no hum or click and I am only getting 80v to the relay

Check each side to ground and see what volatage you get. Check your incoming voltage at the outlet to see what voltage you get as well .
