My ice maker stops making ice occasionally. Sometimes I can defrost it with a hair dryer, but the problem always comes back. What is the permanent fix for this?

Elsie, if the ice make continues to ice up, you most likely have an air leak causing condensation from your damper assembly or a door seal leak. You could also have a defective heater on the ice maker. Its on the bottom of the ice maker and you can do a continuity check on it.
