Maytag MEDC300XWO, the customer says that the dryer will run, but cut off half way thru the cycle. I found the duct to have some trash(lent) in it. The customer ran it with out the vent hooked up and still cut off. Replaced the timer about 6 months ago. Any suggestions on what to look for? Thanks Chip

Hello
I would make sure the blower housing assembly is not impacted causing the unit to overheat. Then check the high limit and cycle thermostat. Matt Ace technician

Does the dryer stop running or stop heating halfway through the cycle?

Stops running

You could have a faulty motor. This is common for a weak motor to stop mid cycle. If you try to start it back up it may hum but not start. If you let it sit awhile to cool down it starts again. All symptoms of a bad motor.
