got a combo Kenmore washer/dryer, there is a11/2inch gap between the washing basket and the body at the top causing articles to full into the washer and mess up the drive belt and speed sensor, the real question is where does the speed sensor and bracket attach and secondly if there should be a gap at the top.
got a new sensor and bracket but have no idea where it affixes

Hi. I would check your shocks. The shocks hold the washer in place. The more wight in the tub the bigger the gap will be. 11 inches seems to be a large gap. It should only be a couple of inches. The speed sensor is located directly on the motor. I have searched for videos for this repair and could not find any. I also could not find a tech sheet on this one. I have attached a parts diagram. The speed sensor is #911.

Hi, thanks for your info but I already have that diagram unfortunately it does not show exactly where and how it clips on. The part 911 is attached to 312, the part 312 has two hooks on one end and in the middle two pins that looks like It should be inserted into two holes.
