I STEEL HAVE PROBLEM REPLACED NEW COMPRESSOR AND MAIN PCB.I DID 3 TEST AND I DON,T HAVE ANY ERROR CODE.I FOUND OUT WHEN I PUSH ICE COLD MY COMPRESSOR RUNING AND I HAVE 320 V0LT AND DROW 1.6 AMP LOW SIDE PRESSURE IS -10PSI AND HIGH SIDE( DRYER)73PSI.RUNING 30 MINUTS AND I LIKE TO KNOW DO I HAVE BAD INVERTER BOARD NEED TO BE 80 TO 180 VOLT OR IS FREEON LOCK I DON,T HAVE GOOD FLOW HIGH SIDE IS TOO LOW PSI?

Hi. With the pressures you listed it would mean you have a refrigerant leak somewhere. Your in a 10 in. (-10) vacuum on the low side which would indicate the system is low on refrigerant. Also, 73 psi on the high side is lower that it should be too, which would indicate a leak. You should be running at about 2-15 psi on the low side and 115-185 on the high side with proper refrigerant levels. After you installed the compressor and recharged the system did it start to cool at all? Was the filter drier you installed a UV dye drier? With a leak, you would need to install a filter dye drier and recharge the unit. Then, after it leaks back down again, you can locate where the leak is with a black light and yellow glasses.

when i replaced compressor and drier was running good and cool 4 days and stop cooling.after i did recovery replaced 2 nd time filter charged 5.11 oz did leak test and wait 30 min check output from inverter board 320 volt and 1.6 amp with ice plus .high pessure line to condenser is warm .for start compressor i have 160volt and 0.4amp.when unit is off i have 55psi low side.
  • It does sound like a leak if the unit cooled for a few days after the repair. Then if you recharged it a 2nd time and it cooled again there must be a leak. If you used a UV filter drier you should be able to find the leak by finding the dye with a black light. If your unit has an inverter you will not be able to take a voltage reading at the compressor with standard equipment. You can check for 120V to the inverter and if your compressor is running then we can assume we are getting the correct voltage to the compressor.
