I have an lg dryer that when plugged in keeps running with the display off. I can unplug the user interface and it keeps running the dryer is unplugged.

Hi. Make sure you have proper power to the unit. This unit starts running as soon as you plug it in? You do not have to press start? Does opening the door shut it off? Check all of your wiring. Something could be shorted out causing this. If not you could have a bad control board. The motor relay on the board may be sticking closed.
