I ran a call today with a complaint of the fridge not cooling. Upon arrival the freezer was frosted up, so not a defrost issue. The evaporator was not frosted up. Lights on temp display are not working. Condenser fan motor would run then stop. I ended up checking everything and couldn’t find an issue. Advised the customer to leave unit unplugged with doors open and a fan in front of it for 24 hrs, then plug unit in and let cool for 24 hrs and monitor. Thinking door to freezer just got left open overnight?
Looking for some confirmation or other suggestions if someone has anything.

James, I’d say you were dead on, especially if everything mechanically checked out. Even a small gap, or a seal that didn’t quit grab can cause quite a bit of a problem. We always just say to monitor and see if they call you back.
