The ice maker in the left hand French door thermister temperature is 16.30 on test #36. There is good air movement through the upper vent and it filled properly on the fill test. I have all the technical data. So what I need to know is does this mean that the ice maker is bad or the door board or something else?

Hello
I would go to page #32 in the diagnostic link below . Run the unit through the auto diagnostic procedure. It could be A defective ice maker but you have to eliminate all other possibilities. Matt Ace technician

GE told me that the tech sheet ice maker test 00 99 is flawed and does not test the isolation valve. They gave me their ice maker test that does test both valves and it showed they are good by filling the ice maker. The ice maker thermister test #36 would show me the ice maker mold temperature but didn’t say if it was normal which is bad, the ice maker or door board. I hoped you would know which one is most likely failed.

I would check the diagnostic mode for any error codes. If your temperature in the ice box is good, all your thermistors testing good in diagnostics, and the ice maker will cycle and fill manually in diagnostics I would replace the ice maker. This would be the part that is more common to fail. The board would not be as common. If you wanted to test further you can go to page 124 in the service manual. There is a schematic that shows what some of the voltages should be out of the board to the ice maker.
