Can’t figure out what is going on with this refrigerators icemaker. I have changed the icemaker, and it still will not cylce. The optic sensor will come on for awhile then will go off after a bit, until I unplug the unit, then they will reset at that point. The water valve is good. I put in diagnostic mode and the optic sensor read as should, so I am not sure why this unit will not make ice. FYI all switches are good as well.
Verified valves are good, checked optic sensors, switches and changed icemaker

Hi. I would check for a broken wire at the bottom of the freezer door. I have ran into many of these that have broken wires. The harness comes out the bottom of the door and plugs in under the toe pane. You can check for continuity from this plug and then at the plug going into the icemaker.

If the wire is broken, does the door have to be replaced, or can the harness be replaced?

The door would have to be replaced. The harness is not replaceable. You can try to repair the broken wires at the bottom of the door if you have enough slack, but they may break again with opening and closing of the door.
