At first the bucket would not come out, it was frozen into place. I replaced the ice maker (DA97-07827b) . IT worked for two months, and froze up again. Again it was frozen and finally got the bucket out. Since then the Ice maker fill up and the water doesn’t freeze and runs into the bucket and runs out the bucket onto the shelves if not caught in time. It seems the ice room doesn’t get cold enough. What should the temperature get down to? Where does the freezing air come from? The Freezer? or Where? Could the air passage be frozen? I did see some frost in the freezer drawers. If so I need to know where the passage is. Should the ice maker sensor let the ice maker fill if the room is too warm? There were no error code stored in the memory. The freezer temp and refrig. temps were OK. When I last removed the ice maker it was full of water unfrozen.

Hello
See complete service manual and diagnostics link below. The ice maker cycles on a thermostat and sould not fill unless the thermostat is satisfyied. So if the ice maker is filling you may have a water inlet valve that is leaking through and overfilling the ice maker. If the water is not frozen in the ice maker you most likely have an air passage iced up causing this issue. I would shut the unit off for 24 hours with the doors open to defrost. This is a common issues on this model if a door is adjar overnight. After defrosting you will be able to see if the ice maker is functioning properly. I would replace the inlet valve based on the icemaker overfilling . Matt Ace technician
