You will need to remove the cover on the head of the ice maker. Then put a jumper wire from T to H. The ice maker will start to rotate. after about 15 seconds you will hear a click. Removed the jumper wire. The ice maker will run through a cycle. I have attached a tech sheet for the ice maker for you to take a look at. Also, I have attached a repair video that shows how to cycle the ice maker. This portion of the video starts at about 7mins in.

Hi. Check the arm on the ice maker. Once the ice fills in the bucket the arm should rest on the ice and not come all the way back down. This shuts the ice maker off until the level of ice goes down causing the arm to drop back down. If the arm is in the off position and it is still making ice then you have a bad ice maker. The most common reason for low water pressure would be a clog in the valve that feeds the water line to the refrigerator. If you water supply is low at the dispenser then it most likely is at the ice maker as well, which could be causing your ice maker issues. Small or hollow cubes are signs of low water pressure to the ice maker. A water filter that has not been replaced can cause low water pressure, as well as a clogged inlet valve.

The ice maker did not have the arm on. I put the arm back on and now it won’t make ice at all even when the arm is down
  • That is strange. As long as temps and everything else is proper to make ice with power going to the ice maker, you most likely have a bad ice maker.

SO I changed the ice maker and the customer tells me it only worked for one day.. PLEASE advise
  • Is the ice bucket full now and that’s why it is not making any more ice? If not Check to make sure the ice maker arms are not jammed with ice and that it is still getting water and the fill tube is not frozen. Manually cycle the ice maker and see if it goes through and fills
