My ice maker is not working. No water is getting into the tray to make cubes. I have left it for 24 hours, still no ice.
1. Unplugged the fridge for 10 minutes. Plugged it in and turned the ice maker back on. Waited 24 hrs, no ice.
2. Replaced the water tube (part #W10165840). Did not fix the issue of no water to the ice maker.
3. Removed the ice maker assembly, checked the tube inlet for blockage, let it thaw for hours. No improvement.
I know the issue is that no water is getting to the ice maker, but unsure of where to go from here. It seems like it’s the blue water inlet valve not working (part #W10312696), but I don’t know how to test it and don’t want to keep buying the wrong parts.
Thanks,
Dan

You more than likely have a faulty ice maker. P# W10882923. They updated the ice maker from the original one. New one comes with a wire harness to install as well. You can test the inlet valve for continuity. Verify you have good water pressure coming out of the dispenser. Did the ice maker cycle for you in diagnostics? You can also put a jumper wire in the T and H tests points of the head of the ice maker to manually cycle it. Check to see if there is an ice jam preventing the icemaker from cycling. Check the position of the rakes of the ice maker. Typically when these fail the blue rakes will be pointing down into the ice molds
