Samsung Refrigerator Model RF28HFEDBSR/AA-0001 (RF28HFEDBSR/AA0001, RF28HFEDBSR/AA 0001)
Every 3 or 4 weeks ice is appearing inside the freg replaced one sensor at the top on the right side this is where the ice is at also, I replaced the fan inside the pannel also.
I would send a pic but don’t see a place to add an attachment ,the evaporator coils don’t have ice on them just the tube’s going up from it at the top? Sansung repair man said to change the location of the sensor and that would fix this problem by moving it on the tube on the left side were the other two were freezing up at? Did not work, I did not replace the Refrigerator Defrost Heater .Guess thats all I know o yea after 3 or 4 weeks it start to buss or hum from the ice build up I guess so I take it a part and thaw it out good for a few more weeks?

Hello
Everything you are telling me indicates a compressed or bent foam seal causing air leakage. If there are any gaps in the foam seal you will get ice and frost build up on the two refrigerant lines on the right hand side. Replace the cover assembly with a new seal. I believe this will rectify your issues. We have seen this happen many times. I sent a link to you for Sears parts on your model.

I went to the link and can’t bring up a seal? The cover over the evaporator has been replaced this had a new seal on it already , had new fan at the same time. Model code rf28hfedbsr/aa serial # 065k43bf302516x

I believe you have a ( duck bill ) drain issue. See the service bulletin link below. This should correct your issue . Matt Ace technician

Hello I do not have water backing up inside the drain hole it is clear a few years ago that was a problem and needed clean out cause water was getting inside the freg a service man that came over while it was in warranty fix it , the drain was plug on the back side of the freg. If you look to where the sensor is located on the tube that is where the ice is building up only on those 2 or 3 tubes? Not on the evaporator it self? The pic where it says Incorrectly tucked wires, causing compressed foam seal, which creates an air leak , the middle pic looks a little like my problem of the ice problem but its not on the evaporator. When the fan was replaced the cover was to..Don The samsung authorize service man said a service bulletin was put out to move the sensor to the other tube but B S info on this one that you send it says not to move it ,mine was moved but that did not work either?

Hi. I would replace the defrost sensor that was moved to a new location. The sensor seems like it is faulty. Also, even though the back panel was previously replaced it may be compromised causing air leaks. Especially if it has been removed with the ice build up present. I would recommend replacing this evaporator cover as well. The part number for the evaporator cover is DA97-12608A. The defrost sensor part number is DA32-10104V. Make sure your door seals are good and that warm air is not able to enter the unit anywhere else as well.
