I’VE FOLLOWED TROUBLESHOOTING FLOW CHARTS. THE REFRIGERATOR SIDE IS AROUND 90 DEGREES. I’VE SWAPPED OUT THE BOARD 4 TIMES. CHANGED THE DAMPER ASSEMBLY 3 TIMES. THE DAMPER DOOR CLOSES, ALL THE WAY AFTER JUST A COUPLE OF MINUTES NO MATTER WHAT PART I HAVE IN THERE, WHICH IS THE ORIGINAL PROBLEM. I’VE ALSO TAKEN ALL THE KEY COMPONENTS, FROM A MACHINE THAT HAS BEEN RUNNING FINE FOR TWO PLUS WEEKS, AND INSTALLED THEM WITH THE SAME RESULT. I’M AT A LOSS TO EXPLAIN THIS ONE. ANY INSIGHT? THE UNIT IS A GE AND THE INTERIOR LIGHT IS NOT STAYING ON.
I PUT THE DAMPER IN THE MIDWAY POSITION WITH POWER OFF. WHEN THE UNIT IS PLUGGED BACK IN THE DAMPER OPENS ALL THE WAY. SEVERAL MINUTES LATER IT CLOSES AND STAYS CLOSED.

Hello
What is the freezer temperature ? This is a single evaporator model and you should be getting -5 degrees to +5 degrees in the freezer section. Have you checked ? Matt Ace technician
