hi. this is a ge profile hydro save washer, not the front service kind. you service it from underneath. it is leaking water badly around transmission pulley.slinging water everywhere. the pump is receiving 120 volts but only humming. so I know its bad, the machine will fill ,try to agitate 3 separate times then stop. the blinking lights indicate wax motor [transmission] problem according to tech sheet. would the pump not working cause this and do you have a video on how to change the tub seal ?I could test the wax motor and if it opens then the tranny might be bad. so would hate to replace pump and tub seal only to find out the tranny is bad. have you experienced these symptoms before. thanks
120 to pump with test cord. will apply 120 v to wax motor.

Yes it sounds like a bad transmission. As long as the wax motor on that shifter is working properly. IS it loud in spin? IF so you do have a bad transmission. I have found a website with parts break down on this unit for you.I have also found the service manual on this unit. I have attached the link. IT should help you with the tub seal replacement as well.

Hi. I am not able to pull this model number up in any of my go to parts break down sites. I did pull it up on a search, so it does appear to be a good model number. Will you just double check your model number for me and in the mean time I will continue looking up any info I can on this.

it is the correct model # problem is its Canadian. I tried it on repair clinic and it also showed no results for that model #.I think if I check the wax motor and it opens at 120 v. then the tranny is probably bad. your thoughts?

Still no luck looking this unit up. I will continue looking up info tom. If you have 120 to the pump and its just humming, then you either have something clogged in the pump or a bad pump. which wax motor are you referring to? The door lock?

no there is a wax motoe on the transmission. when 120 v applied it lifts a cam allowing agitation. with no voltage the gears are locked for spin. the led’s that blink when it tries to start mean, according to the tech sheet ” problem with wax motor or tranny” . i’m going to go back to customer today and apply 120 v to wax motor, if it works then I know the tranny is bad. wouldn’t surprise me as it has been leaking water all over it. I understand the pump theory that’s the least of the problem. probably needs new tranny and seal. complete tear down plus pump. not worth doing.
