We purchased a dispenser module for our Electrolux refrigerator. It mounts behind the interface module. We cannot, for the life of us figure out how to remove this part. PLEASE HELP!
Removal. It just appears fixed in its location.

After you remove the 2 phillips screws in the upper left and right of the user interface you must use a stiff putty knife at the top and pry forward and out from top. In order to avoid scratching use some painters tape on the door along the top edge where the ui and the door snap in place, (on the door) and place putty knife in between crevice and apply force outward and down . That is the only way it comes out and hopefully no tabs will break. Good luck !

Hello
You first have to remove the Trim piece which is the nameplate. On your model it’s the stainless steel trim. The piece snaps in place with plastic tabs. Using a small standard screw driver (flat blade) pry on the edges carefully. Once the trim is removed (make sure the power to the unit is off) remove the 2 phillip screws from the top of the user interface. Tilt the U.I. at an angle and side towards yourself. You will have to disconnect the wire connectors at the U.I., and place it aside carefully. You will now have access to the dispenser module assembly remove the 2 phillips screws from the left and right hand sides. Disconnect any wire connectors (on the micro switch make sure to mark where the wires were removed from). You may have to remove the water line from the nozel as well. Once the old one is uninstalled, install the new one in the reverse order. Hopefully this will help you out. See links below for parts breakdown . Matt Ace technician

Hi Matt~When we get to the U.I. unit we cannot pull it forward. As you look at the parts breakdown you will see that part #38C (U.I. unit) has two small tabs, one on the left and one on the right that set down into the frame of the water dispenser frame. We have tried to force it forward a little but it feels as though the tabs will break off. Should I force it?
