Sounds like your having a problem with the “auto dryness” sensing feature on the unit. If you run the unit on time dry will it stay running? If so There is likely a problem with the control board. The moisture sensor really cannot go bad as they are just two strips of metal that create a short when a wet piece of clothing comes in contact with them. I have not personally fixed this issue however I have came across this once in the field. I tested the moisture sensor and it checked out fine and gave the customer an estimate for the control board. They declined the repair so I cannot defininitely say this will rectify the issue however that is the component I would replace if the unit runs on time dry without shutting down. Sounds like your heat circuit is working properly. Seems like the unit is going into basically the “cool down” mode. Hope this helps.
