Hi, we have a 15 year old LG American style large fridge freezer that has stopped cooling/freezing overnight. There is power to the unit as the fridge light is working, however the freezer light is not. There is no sound coming from the compressor at all. I am just looking for some help with diagnosis, any information greatly received.

power to compressor comes directly from the main board on the back of the cabinet if no power to compressor it is the board if you have power at the compressor may have bad start device or bad compressor hope that helps put you in the right direction
