On my refrigerator the freezer is cold but the refrigerator is not cooling. Started about a week ago when the freezer was freezing over And the refrigerator and we heard a loud noise like. We were told we needed to unplug the fridge for a few days because the fan was hitting blocks of ice. So we did and now the noise is going but the fridge section will not cool down the freezer section is very cold. Do you have any idea what this could be?
The only thing we did was unplugged the fridge for the fridge for 2 days.

The noise sounds like it was coming from the evaporator fan motor hitting an ice build up on the evaporator coil. You may have a part of your defrost system out causing an ice build up on the evaporator coil. Look at page #8 in the link below for the defrost system parts locations . Then go to page #21 for trouble shooting diagnostics.

Thanks. Could this be why fresh food section isn’t blowing cold air?

Yes, it would definitely cause the refrigerator section not to cool properly. We get this complaint all of the time, freezer is working but refrigerator section will not cool. What happens when the defrost system is not working it will get a heavy frost build up on the evaporator. The fan motor can not get air across the evaporator coil due to the heavy frost build up to move air into the refrigerator section. Its like trying to blow air through a block of ice.
