This model has known defect with fan and damper.

Hi. Yes the damper assembly is common on these units. I have attached a video for this repair. You can check the old one by taking it apart and checking to see if the damper door has broken off. IF the control is not responding you could have other issues as well or this could be related to your freezing issue if the damper is working properly and not broken. IF you can not change the temp settings or the buttons are not responding you could have an issues with the temp control board. P# WR55X10120. Or it could be an issue with the main control board. P# WR55X10942 . If the water is not dispensing see if you get power to the inlet valve when you press the dispenser. IF not the dispenser or wiring is the issue. If you get power make sure you inlet valve is good. You could have a frozen line in the door which is common on these. There should be a water connector under the toe panel under the freezer door. Take this off and then try to dispense water to see if you get water to this point in the water line. IF so, the line is frozen in the door. I have attached the service manual for you on this unit.
