so the fridge seems to be working fine.
however the freezer is not freezing.
i took off the back panel to check the evaporator coils and there is only a bit of frost on the top part of the coils.
how may i correct this issue?

Hello, if you only have a little frost pattern on the coils then you have a refrigerant leak. This repair requires you to hook up gauges on the sealed system and also to find the leak you may need a uv filter/dryer if not found visually. if you are not familiar with doing this type of work and are not EPA certified you need to hire someone who is.

so i was refilling the unit with refrigerant it was still in the – and the compressor just went off. it was hot very hot but it went off what can it be?
