FRENCH DOOR UNIT WITH DUAL EVAPORATORS, THE FRESH FOOD SECTION IS FINE. THE ICE HAS MELTED IN THE DOOR, AND THE FREEZER SECTION HAS A LOT OF SOFT BUILT FROST ON IT. THE FAN SEEMED TO BE ACTING STRANGE CUTTING OFF AND ON. I CHECKED THE DEFROST T-STAT AND HEATER AND IT WAS GOOD. COULD THE FAN OR MAIN BOARD BE CAUSING THIS OVER FROSTING? AS I OPENED UP THE UNIT TO CHECK THE PARTS, THE COILS STARTED TO DEFROST. THE FREEZER WAS COOL BUT NOT COLD ENOUGH TO FREEZE EVERYTHING IN IT. I DON’T THINK IT’S A SEALED SYSTEM ISSUE, BECAUSE FRESH FOOD SECTION IS WORKING FINE, BUT I COULD BE WRONG.

Hello
I have provided the tech. sheet link below. Run the diagnostics on this unit. There should be error codes stored . The freezer controls the fresh food section, if the freezer is not cooling properly the refrigerator will follow shortly there after. Let us know how it goes. Matt Ace technician
